Who We Are
We’re residents and landowners living along the dirt roads north on Llano Road, near Questa, NM — an area sometimes called Mountain Valley Acres or Pinabete.
Some of us live here year-round, others seasonally. But we all share the same roads — and the same challenges.
This project was started by a few neighbors who care deeply about the safety and accessibility of this place. The hope is to involve many more of you — in whatever way makes sense for you.
Why Now?
- The roads are rapidly deteriorating.
- There’s no county or village support currently in place.
- Previous informal repairs have not held up long-term.
- We have the people, tools, and willpower to make change — but we need coordination and shared effort.
What This Is Not
This is not a homeowners association. There will be:
- No covenants
- No rules about your land or property
- No mandatory dues
- This is a voluntary project to work on shared roads — nothing more.
Why “Pinabete Roads”?
“Pinabete” refers to the piñon-covered foothills we call home.
“Roads” means all Pinabete roads, but the common roads will get more attention.
