Joseph , Paul and Dan met with contractor Andamo Sanchez this morning on the road for a long talk about what it would take to get Llano Road fixed from the asphalt to the Pinabete/Llano sign.
The number for 5/8 mile by 16′ by 9″ deep is around $40,000 to do it right.
So, we have a goal. We’ve got a long way to go, but very few people on the road have been contacted.
Our next goal is to get everyone’s attention. A sign on the road, postcards to every landowner, and a lot of word-of-mouth will help.
Andamo has all the equipment – belly-dump trucks, graders, rollers, everything required. MTC in Costilla will supply the material.
We may have a line on some culverts for the driveways entering the road.
Drainage and a crown were discussed. Sounds like getting a permit from the forest service for road material has now been scrapped in favor of more consistent material from MTC.
